Shay and Roni met at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, and have played together in several jazz groups. This duo was established especially for the Baku International Jazz Festival.

Shay Maoz

They will feature original compositions and jazz interpretations of Israeli music, together with well-known jazz standards. Their music is influenced by the roots of jazz and blues along with traditional Israeli music.

In 2005, Shay played in the Hot Jazz Ensemble - the leading jazz ensemble of the Rimon School - and played with Jeff Berlin.
Roni Tirosh

Currently, Shay plays in the Fourword Quartet, Ilan Salem Quartet, Hagit Goldberg Band, Roi Oliel Sextet, and he collaborates musically with saxophonist Tevet Sela.

Roni played with Debra Brown (USA) and Nancy King (USA). She also played in the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat with saxophonist Eli Degibri (Israel).

Currently, she works as manager of the Ilanot Musical Center in Tel Aviv, where she teaches music and conducts the orchestra.
