In 2000 he returned to France where he created a Jazz Trio (Rumba Mama) with his partner Emmanuelle Lucy on piano and her son David Braud.
In November 2001 the first Congress of World Azerbaijanis invited him, as grandson of Jeyhun Bey Hajibeyli (Uzeyir Hajibeyli's brother). He met Rain Sultanov and took the chance to jam with Salman Gambarov and many brilliant musicians from Azerbaidjan.

After returning to France he decided to name his trio "Gachagach" after the title of one of Rain Sultanov's compositions.

Very impressed by his trip to Baku, he decided to take a new musical direction towards Jazz Mugham and explore the inheritance of Vagif Mustafazade and Rafig Babayev.
